Applique

Applique is a technique where pieces of laser cut material are hand applied to a garment and sewn in place during the embroidery process. It can be used to fill large areas with a color that differs from the clothing on which it’s sewn, or to create areas of different texture. There are a variety of materials that can be used for applique, including twill fabric, felt, glitter and metallic materials. Even reflective 3M Scotchlite can be used, which adds a whole new level of night time visibility, making it an ideal choice for workwear and public safety organizations.
